Problems in the air compressor system and energy saving

Outdoor centralized intake is not affected by indoor oil and gas

The air compressor uses air as the production material, and there are generally two types of air intake methods: indoor and outdoor centralized intake. Outdoor centralized intake is not affected by indoor oil and gas, which can reduce the impact on indoor air and facilitate centralized pre-filtering treatment. However, the initial investment is relatively large, and there is resistance loss during transportation. In comparison, the outdoor centralized intake method can reduce power consumption and extend the life of the filter element.

Whether the air compressor is single-stage or multi-stage compression, its operating efficiency is affected by inter-stage and exhaust temperature. One of the functions of the air compressor cooler is to improve the compression efficiency of the air compressor and correspondingly reduce power consumption. Typically, a 10℃ decrease in exhaust temperature will reduce power consumption by 3%. Temperature control is mainly done in high-temperature seasons by checking and maintaining the air compressor cooling system, replenishing lubricants, and cleaning or replacing the cooler to keep the temperature within the required range, stabilizing the operating state of the air compressor and ensuring reasonable operating efficiency and power consumption.

There is an inevitable pressure drop in the transmission of the air compressor, and controlling the pressure drop can achieve energy saving and consumption reduction. When the pressure drop increases, the air compressor needs to do more work to meet the pressure requirements. Typically, for every 0.01MPa increase in pressure drop, power consumption will increase by 0.3%, and it can even reach 0.5%. The main components that cause an increase in pressure drop are the filter, oil separator, and dryer. Timely maintenance, replacement, and cleaning of the air passage can effectively control the pressure drop. The transmission of the air compressor has an inevitable pressure drop, and controlling the pressure drop can achieve energy saving and consumption reduction.
